Who am I?

The question “who am I?” is a spiritual question or ‘koan’ used in Zen Meditation to help you find a place of truth, peace and happiness. This is how practising Zen methods has helped me.

My name is Anne and my Buddhist name is ‘Wato’ or Isle of Harmony, my journey to discover mindfulness as a way to help me deal with life’s challenges, led me on to take the Buddhist precepts and train in Zen Yoga and Zen Compassion Meditation. My teacher Julian Daizan Roshi is a Zen Master from the Soto and Rinzai lineages of Zen, who offers practical Zen methods to help us all take the steps we need to feel happier and healthier.

This has been a lifetime journey for me, having already trained to become a Reiki Master and Hatha Yoga teacher, adding to my skills with Relaxation Therapy, Tibetan Buddhist Meditation and Restorative Yoga. All ways to help you relax, unwind and find a place of calm and clarity within.
